Airfree air purifiers are unique because they incorporate patented Thermodynamic Sterilizing System (TSS) technology that utilizes high temperatures to destroy up to 99% of all organic particles passing through the unit. The TSS technology means the Iris is completely silent because there are no fans or other moving parts within the unit.

The Airfree Iris is designed for rooms that are up to 450 square feet in size. It works as contaminated air is drawn into the unit via silent air convection through intake vents on the bottom of the unit. The air passes through the ceramic core sterilizing chamber where harmful pollutants are incinerated at temperatures up to 400°F. The clean air then passes through a cooling chamber and is forced out of the top of the unit with no significant changes to the temperature or humidity in the room.

The Iris has no replacement parts, so there are no added costs. And, there are no emissions, Ions or Ozone as a by-product during the sterilization process. The Airfree Iris is also maintenance free, requiring only an occasional surface cleaning of the outer plastic housing. The Iris utilizes only 45 watts and offers additional energy saving by automatically shutting off the ceramic core when it has reached temperatures capable of facilitating air convection and air sterilization.
